I recently upgraded to MacOS 14.3. When I launch Apple Music and select a song -- from either the songs view or a playlist -- and then press the Play button, it does not play the selected song. It either plays a different song or gives me a dialog asking me if I want to clear the song list.
Seems like a bug to me but I wanted to know if there is a setting that I might have overlooked. Please advise.

Hello Frank, I have the same or at least a similar issue after the update. When I double click on any song, nothing happens. My sound works fine and I can also play the files from Finder. If I create a new library and add songs, everything works fine. But not with my existing library :(
Thanks. This isn't really good news, but it's very helpful to know.
I think I will wait and see if MacOS 14.3.1 resolves the issue before I try this solution.
I just upgraded MacOS to Sonoma 14.3.1 and the issue persists.
This is embarrassing. How does Apple intend on having people listen to music on their laptops?
