I just installed iPad OS 17.3 and want to turn on stolen device protection on my iPad. Is it available for that device? I don’t see it under Face ID and passcode.

No. Currently it is only available for iPhone.
I use my iPad on the train so it is just the same as iPhone, so why is this feature not available ???

I agree I can’t find it on iPadOS. I did search for it in settings and the search feature found the feature but nothing happens when you tap on it.
I guess Apple feels that an iPad is not likely to be stolen. Silly people.
