My mini ipad has software version 12.5.7 and will not update due to age. I now find I cannot get the BBC app though I can get BBC news on the web. However, I now find I cannot get my usual Youtube videos. Is there a work around or am I stuck with a useless ipad?

You'll need to upgrade to a newer ipad, you have a very outdated one.
