iPhone 15 Pro Max Weather widget showing precipitation instead of temperature

I’ve seen a lot of questions about the small square weather widget starting to display only the precipitation and no longer giving the temperature anytime it rains or snows. Why change something that was working and we liked? I was able to “fix” mine by choosing a new (small square) weather widget from the weather app I use. So it’s the same app, and they offer about 6 styles/sizes of widgets. None are exactly like the one I lost, but I found one that is the right size for my Home Screen and shows the temperature all the time. I think I’ll get used to the other differences. I’m not sure why they feel the need to “fix” (change) something that everyone has been using and liked as it was. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” Just because it’s raining or snowing doesn’t mean I don’t want to see the temperature! That was my MAIN reason for having the widget on my Home Screen. Also, the other widget showed the temperature with animation of rain/snow. The new one I had to choose to be able to get the temperature, does not have the animation and I miss that. It’s possible one of the larger widgets has everything I had before, but I don’t want to have to reformat my Home Screen to use the larger ones.

Thank you for your response. That’s interesting. It appears to be the same weather app that I’m using, however I’m unable to see the “dots” at the bottom that allow you to scroll between the 8 options. Are you doing someone special that brings that up for you? - I’m able to pull up weather widgets and there are 6 styles. I’ve checked all 6 styles and none of them have those “dots” at the bottom like your pictures. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, if I’m using a different weather app or if my phone is just different. I’ve also checked to make sure I have the latest, most up to date version of the weather app. And the app I’m using is just called “Weather”.

It's great that you found a workaround by selecting a different weather widget size from the same app to regain the temperature display on your Home Screen. While it may not perfectly replicate the previous widget, it's a good solution for now.

There aren’t 8 options (on my phone anyway), and especially not with those titles; wind, air quality, moon, and uv index. Mine only shows forecast x3 in different layouts, details (contains precipitation, wind, AQI), daily forecast, and sunrise and sunset. I just changed mine to the daily forecast bc it actually shows the temp. Idk if it makes a difference, but I have the iPhone 13 Pro max.
