Kindle App constantly closing itself

I have downloaded a book into the kindle app and it now when I try to open it, it shuts itself down. I have tried on my phone and iPad, I have deleted and reinstalled on both and updated software. Nothing is resolving, is anyone else having a similar issue?

iPad Kindle app Overnight my kindle app has stopped working. I have turned device off and back on. I have deleted and reinstalled the app. I still can’t open any books. Does anyone else have this problem?

Kindle app not working on ipad My kindle app worked just fine on my ipad. All of a sudden it is not working. Pressing kindle exits to the Home Screen. Kindle version 6.61.0.100(1.0.267663.0). I am afraid to delete the app and reinstall for fear that I will lose all the installed books. Please advise.

I had the same issue. What fixed it was deleting the app, restarting my phone and then reinstalling.
