I had a girl friend now an ex that I believe has created an organization that I created this email account under. as ive never heard of "management until about 6-8 months ago, how do I get out from under neath this management? I have a google business profile that I run my business thru? do I need to go to a public library, where I'm free of this management, and open a new google account then transfer ownership of my business profile to that new account, wait the seven days until I can eliminate that profile from my google profile? Wouldn't what she did be considered illegal? she always knew my location among other things that I thought was super suspect. This problem has given me such a headache you have no idea, ive spent so many hours trying to figure this out, if I need to file a restraining order so I can take legal action I will. Ive already had to shut down my first web site and turned off my original business phone number because of this. if I understand correctly she can manage every aspect of this google account I have with my business profile on it. meaning she can read this communication. I need some help your advice would be so greatly appreciated in this matter you have no idea. ty in advance.

The problem with appleid and changes is that if you cancel your appleid (inadvertently or otherwise) that is it. Apple locks out your appleid. It can NEVER be recovered.

That point is true. Deleting your Apple ID is not something that can happen accidentally by pushing a wrong button and when you do it, you are met with several warnings on what will happen. Apple does not save your information on their servers, which is why there is nothing that they would be able to restore. That is what I expect from a company and do not want them saving my information for privacy concerns. They also provide a support article on what happens when you do delete the Apple ID:

How to delete your Apple ID account - Apple Support

The relevant portions that cannot be ignored are:

  • When your Apple ID account is deleted, your account details and the data associated with your Apple ID are permanently deleted from Apple’s servers.
  • Photos, videos, documents, and other content that you stored in iCloud are permanently deleted;
  • Deleting your Apple ID is permanent. After your account is deleted, Apple can't reopen or reactivate your account or restore your data.
  • Make sure that you sign out of all your devices to avoid issues with apps that use your Apple ID account or iCloud. After your account is deleted, you can't sign out of iCloud or turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock on your devices. If you forget to sign out, you might not be able to use your device when your account is deleted.
  • When you delete your account, you can't access any App Store, iTunes Store, or Apple Books services with this Apple ID.

So, same thing with the addition of couldn't sign out of my i cloud account. Fixes we used. 1) update to latest IOS; 2) Turned on Allow of the content and privacy restrictions under screen time; 3) Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before. #3 was the trick! It took out the erroneous APPLE ID which I've never seen before that lead to a password that I had no idea. After forgot password, it lead to a trusted phone number that was nonexistent. Good luck everyone.

Well I mean it said nothing it’s just grayed out and when I click it nothing happens.
  • Have your shut off restrictions at Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions?
  • Do you have MDM software that would have been installed in a work environment?
  • Do you have a profile installed at Settings > General > VPN & Device Management?
  • Had you previously Deleted the Apple ID, so it is no longer valid. This is a request that you would have sent to Apple, so not something done by accident?
  • Can you sign in with the same Apple ID at account.apple.com and see your device in the Device List?

And what do you do after that?… What’s the next step ?

Not sure which one of these apply to you:

  • Is it greyed out?
  • Does it say you can't sign out due to restrictions?
  • Have your shut off restrictions at Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions?
  • Do you have MDM software that would have been installed in a work environment?
  • Do you have a profile installed at Settings > General > VPN & Device Management?
  • Had you previously Deleted the Apple ID, so it is no longer valid. This is a request that you would have sent to Apple, so not something done by accident?

Post screenshots, since we don't know what you are seeing:

  • Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Account Changes
  • Settings > General > VPN & Device Management

Still the same thing. I have turn off and on several times

If your Apple ID is greyed out, post a screenshot of this page at Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions. You may need to enter the Screen Time passcode and make sure to include the section that shows Account Changes.

Also review Settings > General > VPN & Device Management, and make sure there are no profiles installed there.

Even though account changes are allowed, logoot is disabled.

Then you have a profile installed on your device that prevents you from logging out. This is common in many school or work environments.

If you just tried changing the Screen Time setting to allow Account Changes, then shut off Screen Time altogether by going to Settings > Screen Time > Turn Off Screen Time. Restart your device after you make that change.

I can't sign out of my Apple ID
