Fitness App not tracking steps

The fitness app on my 15 Pro is not recording my steps. Even after I uninstalled and reinstalled it, nothing changed.

Fitness steps and distance not showing after iOS 16 update Hello everyone, i've started using the "fitness" app with ios16 however, after a few days of usage, the distance/steps info seem to have disappeared. My iPhone 13 Pro stopped logging steps and flights climbed on 1 January 2024 at midnight.

Tracking is now back with the most recent iOS update, 17.2.1.
