Music not syncing across any devices- iMac, iPhone & iPad

Hi


Music and libraries are no longer syncing across any devices although Music and libraries are visible and playable on the webplayer in Safari and Firefox and the Samsung tv MUSIC app.


On the iMac, iPhone and iPad Music apps , 'Sync Music' has turned on, I have re intalled , signed in and out of iCloud , re installed the OS on the iMac but still the same.


My subscription expires on 24th Jan- is there any point on renewing it ??

Luckily it syncs between the Samsung Apple Music app and the Apple

webplayer, which I did not know even existed until a few days ago


I can temporary copy a playlist from Safari to the Music app but only temporary


On your mac go to your browser, Safari/Firefox etc open music.apple.com select the playlist, copy the url and paste it to the Notes app. Click on it in Notes and it should open up the Music app anbd the playlst is playable until you move to other music and that is when the playlist completely disappears aunitl you click on it again in Notes



This also works from Notes on my iPhone and iPad


One weird thing is that it when i click 'play' it plays on my iMac and turns on my Samsung tv and also starts to play there too!

I also keep getting this lovely alert




After around 7 hours onto Apple support I am not feeling very positive that it will be sorted out by a tech guy. I am guessing and wondering it could be a problem with how the 4 devices communicate with the servers. Apple watch also does not sync. I have another phone call to look forward to once the last senior said they wanted a few hours to read over all the notes before proceeding

Another 3 hours wasted, after repeating the already performed 'fixes' that fixed nothing by various tech and software folk!


I have been given an extra 5 month of Apple Music, to which I said I probably would use Spotify as you can stream to multiple devices from playlist on my iPhone- he didnt have an answer for that, apart from that he would ring me tomorrow morning.


Very very unimpressed as I have wasted around 10 hours on the phone to Apple and they have not sorted it out!


To sum it up : TRIPE!

After around a total of 11 hours and being disconnected mulitple times and passed from pillar to post, the final phone call lasted only a few minutes with a tech telling me the programmers were aware of the Genius 18004 error, and are working on the problem from yesterday 28th December and it is a case of waiting for the next software update or maybe a patch on the servers side
