New Apple ID in Family Plan

My adult child has been using my Apple ID on my Family Plan subscription . They have now created their own Apple ID and I’ve added it to our Family. When they log in using their new Apple ID they lose access to music, playlists, photos etc. How can they get access to their music playlists and photos?

Do you lose apps if you change to another apple id with-in the same Family? When I first set up my child’s Apple devices, I signed in to my AppleID for “media and purchases”. I now realize that I didn’t need to do this as they are all within my family sharing. We are now beyond the limit for 10 devices for my Apple ID for music and I want to have them use their own Apple ID. Will they lose their apps in this process or will everything stay since their “new” Apple ID is already in my Family sharing and has subscription permissions?

Changing Store AppleID login, Family Sharing, & app updates mess 🤪 Before Family Plans were a thing, my child had my old iPhone and I had downloaded apps for them under my AppleID to it. Fast forward to the future where I have an Apple family plan that shares my purchases with my child who is older now and has their own Apple ID. They have signed into the App Store and can download without issues. For apps installed under my Apple ID back in the day, they still need my password to update them. All previously downloaded apps won't update without my Apple password since they were originally installed with my Apple ID when they were younger & Family Plans weren't available. Is there any way to fix this issue without deleting the apps, losing all the data associated with them, and reinstalling them? There's a lot of history in some of those games and apps that will be lost with a deletion. Note, I have my other kids in this situation as well. I'm trying to get ahead of it for them. Thanks!

Change from Individual to Family Apple Music I purchased family sharing plan for Apple Music. My kids already had individual accounts. How do they change from individual accounts to our family plan? They accepted the invite from me, but under their Apple Music accounts, it is still showing as individual?

With a family subscription to Apple Music each member of the family gets their own iCloud Music Library. If they are going to use a new Apple ID from here on out they will need to add the music they want to their library. There isn't a mechanism to clone the library, but you can potentially share playlists. See How to share an Apple Music playlist on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support. You should also be able to share photos. See How to use iCloud Shared Photo Library - Apple Support.
