While I am watching a movie or youtube video or anything my screen goes completely gray for one second and fades back to normal. This seems to happen when there are bright colors or fast movement in the video. Is there any way to stop it from doing that? Thanks!
thank you you are a lifesaver it was getting irritating i was stuck with it for once didn’t know there was a way to turn it off I thought it was a new Screen feature that Apple did not give you control over he was automatically turned on one of the new iOS updates for me
For me all I had to do is disable the “Dim flashing lights” in the Accessibility - Motion category, and now it is fine.

omg so my screen is doing the same thing i think. so ill be watching a tiktok at night with my brightness turned all the way down then randomly the caption and my battery percentage my wifi symbol and all that stuff up the top will fade to grey aswell, and the tikotk video will brighten and its so annoying. is that kinda what you mean?
Bro, you’re life saver. I switch from iphone 11 pro max to new iphone 13 pro max, cuz i thought my screen are damaged. But the iphone 13 pro max do the same thing…. Now i switch off in the settings what you said and now everything works fine… daimn. However, thanks bro
Basically but its the whole screen that flashes gray then fades to normal. I just don't know if some sensor is messed up or i did something in settings.

Setting - Accessibility - Motions - switch off for stop grey video after flash for few seconds. All be fine problem solved.
Unfortunately, this didn’t work for me because my Dim Flashing Lights was already turned off. Does anyone know anything else I could try?
