Duplicate notifications in IOS 17.1.2

Since the 17.1.2 upgrade on a iphone12 Iam getting double or triple notifications from email, espn

app, meater, google home, and more.

I tried disabling notifications in the apps and restarting IOS, and reenabling. I’ve tried disabling all notifications, restarting, reenabling notifications. I’ve tried removing and reinstalling the apps.

nothing seems to help this annoying situation.
