I’ve tried to use the Combine Images shortcut and it doesn’t seem to work. The progress marker gets stuck 3/4 of the way around and then does nothing. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the shortcut to no avail. Any ideas out there?

I got this to work by adding two more steps. One to convert the image and one to save the image. See attached screenshot.

I just updated to iPad iOS 17.2, and the Combine Images Shortcut still does not work. I used it for a long time pre-17 with no problems. I have the same issue on my iPhone, which is also updated to 17.2.1.
Other phones have a simple system of combining photos. When you open photos, below there is an option to join photos. iPhone has this super complicated system of Shortcuts which is not working. In fact Shortcuts for any application has no meaning since there are icons on the screen for every app. What is the need to complicate things!!
Same here! Running 17.1.2 on both iPhone 13 and iPad Pro (4th gen) the shortcut has stopped working! Oddly, the shortcut still works on my iPad Air (4th gen) that is several years old!!!
Has anyone found a solution to this yet? I used combine images quite frequently.
