Why was my refund request denied?
I had a child use my account to make in-app purchases over the period of about a week. By the time I noticed/went to check my bank account, it was around $1000, which is obviously less than ideal.
The game itself is known to have poor customer service and I couldn’t even find contact information for so I went through the Apple refund request process and was relieved to see an option that matched exactly my situation, assuming this would make the process smoother. However, I have been denied my refund and my appeals have been denied as well. I have been given no reason for this and numerous people online say that they had no problem getting a refund so I am very concerned.
What sort of reason would there be for me to not receive my refund? I am totally fine with the fact that I will “lose access to the items purchased” and the kids understand their account with very likely be banned so I really just want this to be resolved. I will go through my bank if necessary but it seems unfair to offer no explanation for this denied request.
