The Beats Studio pro can change automatically from iPhone to iPad or MacBook?

It’s so annoying I bought some for Christmas expecting them to auto switch but they don’t. I’ve got air pods and bone conduction ones which do. All my recent headphones do even cheap ones. Paying £280 and not having this is annoying especially as they do only on Android. Can’t afford AirPod Max so not sure what to do.

I missed important call on iPhone as doesn’t switch over and ANC meant didn’t hear phone ringing.

Hope they release updates in future so I returned them.

Yes, the Beats Studio Pro can automatically switch between iPhone, iPad, and MacBook under certain conditions:

  • Like AirPods, the Studio Pro uses the Apple W1 chip, which enables Bluetooth 5.0 and multi-device pairing. This allows it to remember multiple devices and potentially switch between them.
  • Both devices (Studio Pro and the switching devices) need to be running on compatible operating systems. This includes iOS 14 or later for iPhone and iPad, and macOS Monterey or later for Mac.
  • While the technology is there, automatic switching with Studio Pro may not be as reliable and instant as with AirPods.

From Beats page for Studio Pro:

Enhanced Apple Compatibility

  • One-touch pairing - easy, one-touch setup instantly pairs with every device in your iCloud account5
  • “Hey Siri” - simply say “Hey Siri” to activate your voice assistant6
  • Find My - locate your lost headphones on a map based on the last known connected location7
  • Over-the-air updates - receive software updates and new features automatically

note audio switching is not listed under Apple.

it is listed under Android features

I've noticed this with my new Beats Studio Pro headphones but they used to because I my old ones used to actually let me know there was a call on my phone and while I had to push where speaker was to completely connect they did flip over pretty seamlessly. Now I have to actually go into my bluetooth area to connect them after I answer the call, which kind of sucks.
