Credit card autofill not working in Safari

Since a software update, Safari only gives me the option to scan a card instead of autofilling a saved credit card. I can’t find any fix for this online.

I have autofill set up in my Safari settings with my saved card.

I’m not using private browsing.

I have the most up to date iOS (17.2).

This is only a very recent problem. Any suggestions?

Safari auto fill credit card defaults to Apple Card When I try to pay online my safari browser only gives the option to use Apple Card. I have checked my setting and have a few different cards in the auto fill section and have defaulted a card other than Apple Card. When I look at the list of cards in settings I can not edit the Apple Card as it’s separated up top as a wallet card which is non editable unless I go to the Wallet section where I can remove it but no way to do anything else. Any ideas? This is a recent phenomenon probably since the last update. TIA R

Why does Safari keep displaying pre-saved credit cards as a pop-up? Hello, I have a couple credit cards in Safari pre-saved so I can use them for work without having to keep entering the information. However, I keep getting a pop-up from Safari showing the two cards but it's not asking me to do anything with it -- it just shows up at random times. I will have Safari closed and it will still pop-up. I have to click on "manage cards" and then "X" out to get it to close. It is in front of any program I have open at the time. Macbook Air, M1 2020. OS is Sonoma 14.4.1 [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Unable to complete card payments on Safari I’m currently on iOS 17.5.1 and have noticed that I am unable to complete card payments when using Safari. When the authorisation page, eg Mastercard 3D secure, should ‘pop up’ to allow me to authorise the payment, it doesn’t. Initially I thought it was an issue with the websites I was using, but I was able to complete checkout via Google Chrome. anyone else having the same issue, or know what the issue is?

Not all websites allow auto-fill of Credit Card details. Please contact the web publisher/host.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, that’s definitely not the source of this issue. It affects all websites, including ones I’ve had no issues with previously.
