Just updated to iOS 17 and Meetup app no longer will populate to my calendar

I have my Meetup app set to automatically add events that I signed up for. That setting is still in place and it is populating nothing. Additionally, if I manually try to add an individual event to my calendar, it also does nothing. This only started with the iOS 17 update. So now I have to create my own calendar appointments. I wish I had never updated!!!!

iPhone 11, iOS 17

I would like to know WHY Meetup needs Full Access to the hundreds of events I have in every one of the many calendars I have, separated intentionally, on my iPhone when it only needs to Add to one. Does anyone know why? Or how the calendar info is used? Especially if it only added to one previously but now gets access to ALL?
