Hi. After my last update, deleted messages keep coming back both in my Mac and iPhone... In some cases I deleted them already more than once, but they reappear again... Any idea about what is the problem? Thank you.
My operating system is Sonoma.

OK - this is going to sound to stupidly easy, you won't believe it. I have had the same issue - kept deleting, and the files (zero bytes) would keep bouncing back. I tried everything - rebooting, safe mode, Terminal deletes - nada.
Then I thought I would try something ridiculously basic. I put a new folder on the desktop, put some "stuff" in it that I didn't need, then dragged the files (6 of them) out of the trash into this new folder. I then deleted the folder, and then the trash. It's been half an hour, and they haven't bounced back!!!
