Using HomeKit Automation to Dim Lights

Is it possible to set an automation that dims the lights from 100% to 0% over a period of "x" minutes?

I would like to set this to a verbal command if possible.

This is not a feature currently supported by HomeKit, you can let Apple know about your feedback here: Feedback - Home App - Apple

Home Kit and Matter I've been running HomeKit for my lights, thermostats, and cameras for the past 3 years. While not exactly perfect, it works pretty well and I love the automation and scenes I can create. A couple of weeks ago, I made the TERRIBLE mistake upgrading the Philips-Hue lights to use Matter on HomeKit and now NOTHING works. I have lost Adaptive Lighting, which is so critical since I live on a wooded lot. The lights do not turn on with the same color or brightness even though "last on" is selected on the Hue App. The automations and scenes also don't turn on or adjust the lights consistently with what is indicated in the automation or scene. Matter is absolute trash. I would like to find a way to bypass Matter and reset up the home. While I'm not looking forward to setting up everything again it would be worth it not to deal with the gltichy-ness of Matter. Anyone have any tips on how I can do this?

HomeKit Automations Lost automation for my lights going off/on at sunrise/sunset after latest update 17.0. Tried deleting and recreating automation with no success. Anyone else having this issue or another with automations?

There is no "add automation." So what is the correct answer to how to schedule lights? I added an outlet to my Apple HOme. I would like the light to turn on at specific times. I can't see any way to do that. The Apple help page gives instructions but they include a step that is just not there in the app, so what is the actual way to do it?
