My watch is not recognizing my finger on the crown

Trying to check for Afib. I have used it previously but over the past two weeks it will not recognize my finger on the crown or while my arm is completely still gives an alert to hold my a still and floats between 30 and 29 seconds

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 17

On your Apple Watch - Try and Force ReStart your Apple Watch as indicated below:

Hold down the side button and Digital Crown at the same time. The Digital Crown is the rotating button located on the side of the device.
Keep holding these two buttons down until you see the Apple logo appear on the screen.

See whether the above resolves the issue.
