ECG not recognizing finger

After most recent upgrade, my Apple Watch stopped recognizing my finger or would recognize it briefly then start the countdown again. Anyone else have this happen?

Let me see if I can be of any help.

Try placing a different finger on the digital crown.

My fingers get in pretty rough shape in my line of work (callous, burns, and rough). Sometimes I just use my pinky finger.

I believe, and I could be wrong, the reason for placing a finger on the digital crown is just to 'ground' the watch. So... which finger doesn't matter as long as it's a finger providing a good connection.

Also, a new update (watchOS 9.3) was just released yesterday (January 23rd). Try updating to it too.
