MainStage doesn't remember midi assignments or faders assignments.

Hello,

I have 2 keyboards. In the layout window- I set up keyboard A on midi channel 1, I set up midi keyboard B on channel 2. I have 8 faders on each keyboard. With keyboard A faders I assign each fader to channel 1, and Keyboard B faders each to channel 2. Everything works great.

UNTIL.... I close the session out and reopen it- nothing responds. Every time, I have to reassign each fader to the keyboard. I also have to reassign the keyboards to the corresponding midi channels in the layout area.

Shouldn't MainStage remember the fader/midi assignments? I have to quickly reassign the fader before each gig. I'm tired of doing that. ( SIGH)

I prefer to plug up keyboard, and pull up session, and BOOM I'm good to go.

I see signal going into the midi message area from both keyboards.

I checked Midi Studio and see both keyboards.

Thank you!

I have to assume that this has never worked for you rather than being an issue with an MS3 update.

Try putting a MIDI Activity object for each keyboard on the canvas and map to the appropriate channel.

If that does not work, use something like MIDI monitor from Snoize to see what MIDI is actually coming from the keyboards.

Good luck!
