Heart rate zones and max and resting heart rate values are not updating automatically on the first of every month

In the Apple Watch app on my iPhone, under 'Workout', Heart rate zones and max and resting heart rate values are not updating automatically on the first of every month. It says that they should.

Over the past five months, I've gone from doing very little exercise to doing lots since I'm training for a marathon. I feel like my fitness levels have increased astronomically in this time, but the maximum heart rate and heart rate zones haven't moved at all. This can't be right.

In the first screenshot, you can see that it's saying that my max heart rate is 177bpm, but if I go to the Health app, you can see from the second screenshot that my heart rate during workouts has been up to 195.

Any advice on how to force an update would be much appreciated.

It has been pointed out to me on another forum that "it uses the heart rate reserve method to calculate the maximum heart rate, and not the actual maximum heart rate recorded on the watch [which is a shame!]. That method, per the Mayo Clinic, uses only your age to calculate the maximum rate [max heart rate = 208-(0.7 x age)]. So, those high real-world rates apparently don't play into the calculation. The formula does use your resting heart rate in calculating zones. Heart rate reserve is the difference between maximum (calculated) and resting (actual) heart rate. You can always choose the manual option, of course." TheEngineer2008

The manual option only allows you to input your own HR Zone ranges. It would be great if you could just enter your own manual Max HR (or if it updated this itself from its own data), and then it recalculates the zones for you.
