Settings->Energy Saver->Schedule no longer exists

About a year ago I set a schedule to make my mac switch off at night and restart in the morning.

It still works well and I would like to stop it now, but the Energy Saver no longer offers the option to maintain a schedule. I guess it vanished as part of an operating system update.

Thank you for this den.thed.

Below are the options presented for a desktop mac, but none of them let me control shutdown of the computer (at the moment it turns off at 11pm and restarts at 8am daily). I think you used to be able to schedule these events, but this option has been removed with a more recent version of the operating system.

  • Stop automatic sleeping when the display is off: Turn on “Prevent automatic sleeping when the display is off”.
  • Put hard disks to sleep: Turn on Put hard disks to sleep when possible on the right.
  • Update your system while it’s asleep: Turn on Enable Power Nap on the right.
  • See What is Power Nap?
  • Allow your Mac to wake briefly so users can access shared services (if applicable): Turn on Wake for network access on the right.
