Apple Watch Dead Within A Year

Apple Watches are garbage.

I received an Apple Watch 8 for Christmas last year. I was never able to successfully update my watch. Every attempt ended the same way: "Unable to verify update because you are not connected to the internet." I was, of course, connected to the internet. After what must have been dozens of failed attempts to update the several-hundred-dollar-hunk-of-uselessness on my wrist, certain features stopped working. By mid-November, the phone and the watch weren't effectively paired any longer. It was suggested that I try unpairing then repairing my watch with my phone. I unpaired it and now it won't repair because it can't verify the update.

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE, DO NOT PURCHASE!

I've had my Apple Watch for 5 years, and it is still working nicely. My Wife's original Apple Watch is 5 years old and being used by her brother. Her replacement Apple Watch series 6 is still working well.

It is unfortunate you had issues with your Apple Watch.

Just wondering if you took it into an Apple Store for assistance, or if you contacted Apple Support?

I too received a Series 8 watch that the ECG app no longer works. One week after warranty and after 5 chats and 3 phone calls I was told by Apple no exceptions to warranty coverage at all. Just another giant company that once you pay for the product you don't matter. I will never buy Apple watch again. Garbage product and non existent customer service
