Hi,
On an iPhone X I updated iOS 16 to 17 and as soon as I did that when using Airplayer (connecting to Apple TV with tvOS 17.1) I now get the sound playing and no video. I tried using a new iPhone 15 with iOS 17.0.2 and that did the same thing. I get the video come up top right with the sound only.
An iPad iOS 16 connecting to the same Apple TV works fine below:
Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug?

Hi Im having the same situation. All my devices and OS are updated, wifi working etc. It's as though apple tv is suddenly treating videos as audio only podcasts, so when I try and stream something I want to WATCH from my phone to my TV, it's treated as audio only - and not in an erroring way, no black screens or glitches. Just treats video content as audio only. Really really frustrating
I’m having exact same problem. iPhone 15 Pro iOS 17.1.1 and tvOS 17.1.
When I use airplay to send a YouTube video to the Apple TV, it only plays the audio. It’s like it thinks it’s music and not a video stream.

Please ensure all of your devices are on the most up-to-date version of their OS. For example if you are using an Apple TV box, make sure TV OS is up-to-date. On your iPhone ensure IOS is up-to-date.

I have worked through all the 'fixes' online and it still does this, across 2 TV's running Apple TVs.
