Cannot access control center
How do I access the control center. I have Apple Watch 8, software 10.1.1. The control center doesn’t come up when I press the side button. It takes me to all the apps.

That would indicate that you are tapping the Digital Crown. Instead, tap the oval button just below the round Digital Crown button.
NOTE: Tap the button, not a long press.
