I have two Apple Mouses. Both are listed on the back as Model as 1657. Both have "other data" listed. And on both, the "other data" (EMC; FCC ID; IC; 5V; CAN) is identical EXCEPT for the last item.
On one Mouse: "CC2030204QPJ2XFAS".
On the other Mouse: "CC265261JW6GRHQUA".
Which is the "older" Apple Mouse?

Based upon what I have encountered with other electronics that differentiate age sequencing of one item from another, I am inclined to agree with den.thed that the device with the lowest number (CC2030204QPJ2XFAS) is older than the one with the higher number (CC265261JW6GRHQUA). Nonetheless, I appreciate both of you responding to my inquiry with your observations. Fortunately this is not a critical issue in that both Apple Mouses are within the the same Model (A1657) and EMC (2030). I want to keep the older Mouse as a backup to the newer one as emergency insurance.

You can't say which is "Older", or by how many weeks. SInce you can't count on any of the info you posted is correct.

I apologize for only including the beginning numbers of the devices vs. the full sequence of data.
The sequence is: CC2030204QPJ2XFAS and CC265261JW6GRHQUA.
Looking at the numbers only, 265,261 is lower than 2,030,204 but only reverses which Mouse is younger/older but not that they are different Models. For my purposes of having a backup Mouse for an emergency, in reality, neither number now matters. Thanks nonetheless for the information.
Why do you need to know which one is older?
Do they both work?

FWIW, 2030204 is not lower than 265261.
