Safari freezes on some web pages on iPhone 13 Pro iOS 17

Since upgrading to iOS 17 some web pages are freezing in Safari. If I turn off JavaScript and reload the page it works fine. Obviously I would like JavaScript to be enabled so this is not a long term solution. For now I have switched to Chrome which handles the pages with JavaScript just fine. Must be a Safari/iOS bug not handling JS correctly.

Any one else with similar problem?

I've got a mix of sites with safari that constantly refresh the page and move from where you are looking, crashing the page and just showing url. thru to freezing the safari app. Need to understand what to do to resolve this flakiness as I need to use to ensure the password manager catches the sites I'm using.
