Stuck at "Check your DKIM record" for more than 72 hours

newbie that's never have domain or custom domain email. my goal is to use (future) custom domain email for small hobby and didnt plan to design the domain itself.

1.  last saturday i bought new domain from cloudflare using my PC

2.  set up custom domain email on iphone with icloud+ and put all 2 MX, TXT, (DKIM) CNAME,(TXT) SPF all of it and copy paste to the dot to cloudflare record twice on Saturday and also on Sunday morning.

3. i also added DMARC auto option on cloudflare thats never been on icloud+ setup list

4. stuck in "check your DKIM record" for 72 hours ( and it's been over 72 hours now)

5. chat apple support, and it referred to senior advisor that called me but cant help me, he just told me to wait (for how long?) another 24 hours

note that the new domain is currently "active", scrolled around this community but cant find any answer. though i make some notes from my finding that i havent done yet. because im so stressed out that if i have to delete and redo everything i will have another 72 hours again and might stucked again.

this is my note that i havent done any of it :

  1. set CNAME to DNS only and turned off proxy - currently proxy is on
  2. delete "quotes" on SPF - currently has quotes
  3. all TTL should be set to 3600 seconds or 1 hour --- currently its "auto"
  4. on cloudflare dashboard there's recommended steps to complete zone setup " use wizard to add an SPF record" and define what mail servers are allowed to send mail for your domain. when i clicked it, it brought me to a page for record information email, it has blank box for IP addresses and domains. what should i do with it? i dont know whats my IP addresses ? also i already setup SPF record in TXT follow what icloud+ setup guide

anyone can help me?

thanks

Removing the hyphen in the DKIM entry resolved the issue for me.

For example: "sig1.dkim.example.com.at.icloudmailadmin.com" instead of "sig1.dkim.example.com.at.icloud-mailadmin.com"

DKIM .... apple wants an UNDERSCORE but my old ISP email provider says APPLE Is not following the standard where NO Underscore is allowed in a DKIM record.

" Hello-

Underscores are not allowed in CNAME records, per RFC 2181.

Apple support should know that. You can set a SRV record with underscores.

Thanks "

Apple hasn't got a clue according to him

You would think that APPLE would wake up this has been going along for some time and they still have no work around. Very frustrating.
