Apple Watch 9 No notifications From Phone or Watch After Paring

Javaliga, that's great info, thank you. But when everything is locked, I get no sound or hepatic notifications on either device for text or email as I do with phone calls. The message shows on both screens if I happen to look, but there is no sound or vibrations on either indicating the message arrived.

Also, I have the flashlight alert set up in accessibility for my iphone. When the watch is paired, and the devices are in any state, the light does not flash. If I unpair the watch, all iphone functions go back to normal. and all hepatic, sound, and visual notifications resume.

Kind of. I don’t have the best hearing and it turned out I had the watch volume too low for me to hear the very faint text message alerts that the Apple Watch makes. But I still do not feel the text alerts. However, there are still no audible or hepatic notifications for emails. I spent a while on a call with a senior Apple tech and he was unable to offer any suggestions to resolve this issue.

No we are getting somewhere! When the watch is off my wrist, the phone works normally, light and all. When it is on my wrist, I don't get email or text sound or hepatic notifications on either device. This was the case from the first time it was paired with default settings, and with two hours of changing things with the apple rep. I lost track of what we changed at this point.

Also on the link you sent here is a quote, "If your iPhone is locked or asleep, you get notifications on your Apple Watch, unless your Apple Watch is locked."

This makes no sense. it's basically saying if the watch and phone are locked, you get no notifications from any device. Am I reading this correctly?
