CarPlay on Nissan Murano connection issues

I have a 2019 Nissan Murano and a iPhone 13 pro with the latest iOS update. My phone will not consistently connect to CarPlay when plugged in. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t, I’ve tried multiple cords, holding the wire, different ways, etc. And I’ve yet to find a solution will allow me to connect to CarPlay each time I plug it in. Anyone else’s experience this issue? Any ideas

or solutions?

Also, not sure that it is related to this problem, but I forgot to mention when my phone is plugged in, it’s recognized as an iPod when the CarPlay won’t connect.
