Disable HomeKit Accessories?

Hello, I have several smart outlets I use for holiday decorations and then don’t need for the rest of the year. If I unplug the switches I get notifications that the devices aren’t responding but it looks like my only option is to remove them from my home completely. Is there a way to “disable” an accessory when it isn’t plugged in?

FWIW the only workaround I’ve found so far is keeping all of the smart switches plugged in to a power strip in the garage so they stay on the network but out of the house. This is a waste of electricity but the only thing I’ve found that works.
