How to avoid MacBook dock Interference while using Citrix in fullscreen

I use my Macbook Air (MacOS Sonoma 14.1.1) for work and I use Citrix to do so. Citrix works fine in fullscreen, but whenever I want to open something on my virtual "Windows" desktop within Citrix and try to click something on the Windows taskbar, the Macbook Dock will pop up en overlays the taskbar so I always end up clicking an app which will subsequently open and replaces my Citrix fullscreen. Really annoying so please help.

Thanks Rudegar, for your answer. It is helpful, but I was hoping for a solution where I could keep the dock (since I think it's useful) AND Citrix in full screen (useful too).

Putting the dock left or right (top doesn't seem to be an option for me?) is a possibility indeed, although the icons in the dock do get really small once I do that.

Thanks again for your help!
