ios 17.1.1 haptics issues !!

since the IOS 17.1.1 update the haptics and vibrations in my phone has changed? it’s aggressive and feels almost like someone is humming? i also can’t change the vibration pattern for app notifications so i can’t even change it and forget about it :/ i also can no longer make it so my phone only vibrates when locked when my phone is on the personal do not disturb i have set up. it vibrates constantly whether the phone is locked or unlocked and it’s beyond annoying since the vibration is now SO aggressive. wish apple would stop messing around with the settings that don’t need changing.

I have had the same issue with haptics. I’ve looked to change the vibration pattern back to the old strength and pattern multiple times. The new aggressive strength has been increased so much that my phone has vibrated of shelves and tables multiple times. I just want and option to put it back.

I hate this update!!!! I also learned after 6 years of having an alarm set in my phone. The haptics settings and updates did not sound my alarm in the morning making me miss a very important business meeting out of town. I’m so frustrated with this update. My texts won’t vibrate. The options are confusing. Why can’t I just have it set the way I used to have it before this terrible update?

Report this to Apple...

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
