I purchase Apple Adaptador USB-C a 3.5MM and also Iphone 15 but it phone doesn’t recognize adaptator as a device.
I already upgraded software to IOS 17.1.1 but it does not work! Also when playing music all FB, instagram and other Apps stay in mute and music too!

Contact Apple Support, if you bought it from an Apple Store you can go there return it and see if it's the adaptor or the iPhone

Do you know if the headphones are compatible with iPhone? Some wired headphones may not be able to draw enough power from an iPhone and could require power in order to work. And by all means do as 100clicks suggested.

You didn't answer the other question. What exactly are you trying to connect to that adapter? Be specific about model, etc.
Headphones with 3.5mm jack! Thats for what I brought them!
If you go to control center ( pull the right corner) and tap the player, then tap the airplay icon ( up arrow with waves), can you choose the speaker/headphone?
