Apple TV family sharing not working

I have family sharing, am the primary account holder and pay for Apple TV subscription. My husband is on the family sharing list however when we open Apple TV app on his phone, it tells him he needs to sign up. Help! we have tried everything we can so far - no luck

I finally managed to crack after numerous attempts . First make sure you have a credit or debit card saved in your payments , iTunes/apple credits don’t work . Delete the family sharing account , make one again . Sign out of your Apple ID and your family member’s as well . Sign back in and you should be able to see your shared items in Apple TV or in music depending on what you included in the account . It takes a bit of time to load the whole library .good luck

If your husband has been invited to the group, and if he has accepted that invitation, then he should be sharing in Apple TV+ if one of the group members has subscribed to that. He should access that subscription on his own Apple ID account with which he was invited. Does he have a reasonably modern iPhone?
