Can you block a call by name instead of number?

Is there a way to block calls by names? Telemarketers use unlimited numbers now so blocking numbers is useless but I still see their names on my Caller ID. I don’t want their messages/texts or to be bothered multiple times a day. Especially annoying because I listen to music & books on my phone & am interrupted. (I've repeatedly updated myself on the do not call list.)
