wondering if someone can help? Using my 15pm on CarPlay and YouTube music plays but the media interface just doesn’t work! I can’t skip or control music and it doesn’t display what is playing? I’ve toggled app refresh in settings for YouTube music but still no joy - can anyone help please?

It was working prior to the latest update. I could see my last played, downloaded content, my mixes, and almost all the features that I find in my iPhone YouTube app but now it just fails to load and displays an error. Earlier I could use Siri to search music and play in YouTube, now it searches but doesn’t play.
I am sure Apple must have blocked it as it wants to promote Apple Music and not YouTube as it is owned by Google.
Let us shame Apple on X and other platforms.

I’ve only been an iPhone user for just over 2 months and whilst I love the phone and experience etc I do greatly miss my Android Auto and here was me thinking Car Play was superior lol!
I get the same with the app interface, just blank.. asking Siri, I get confirmation of the request stating music will be played but then nothing! So frustrating when trying to drive not being able to fully control things, hopefully it’s something that’ll get fixed in an update!
Was there ever any fix to this? I've just got an iphone 14 from work and I've tried to use Youtube music through carplay, music plays but the interface doesn't working and no image or text relating to the music played
