Ambient light sensor not working after Sonoma 14.1.1 update. Macbook Pro 2019

Hi,

The Ambient light sensor is not working after Sonoma 14.1.1 update on my 16" Macbook Pro 2019 i9.

the camera itself (which is actually the light sensor) is working fine.

This has resulted in not having the "auto brightness" and "true tone" options in the display settings anymore and I also cannot adjust the keyboard backlight (it goes to 0 when I try to move the slider). The keyboard is always dark now.

I have reset the SMC and PRAM multiple times without success.

I also run Apple diagnostics and I got a "No Issues Found" code ADP000

Thanks,

George
