Bluetooth keeps disconnecting with iOS 17.1.1: IOS 17.1.1 (15 Pro Max) is disconnecting and reconnecting every minute or so. All Bluetooth earbuds from Apple and 3rd parties are affected in same way. Tried clearing settings and re-pairing devices and nothing resolves. Sigh. I wish I had a wired headphone connection on phone as iOS itself seems to be broken.

Troubleshooting iPhone Bluetooth:

A. Disable Security Software:

Are you using any Security software? If so, it may be blocking out the connections. Security Software just gets in the way on an Apple device, and this is a pure example of hot and why.

B. Company-Owned Device:

If this is not your device, but rather someone else’s (i.e. your employer’s), then restrictions may be set up on this.

C. Disable a VPN Connection:

If you are connected to a VPN, then disable it.

D. Restore from a Backup:

Have a backup of your iPhone, prior to all of this? If you are not concerned with losing data, then restore your iPhone from a backup that was made when Bluetooth was working. Prior to restoring, backup your iPhone, incase anything goes wrong with the restoration. Note that the backup must be of the same iOS version.

As a last resort,…

E. Reset to Factory Settings:

As a last resort, you can reset your iPhone to Factory Settings, as if you were to sell it. You’d perform as instructed here, including the backup creation and iCloud logout: What to do Before you Sell, Give Away, or Trade in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support. Then, restore item from your backups and proceed from there.
