Loss of printer icon on dock

Printer icon disappeared on dock and was replaced with a huge question mark. Then I right clicked on the question mark and it disappeared and this black and white printer icon appeared. How do I restore my first printer icon to my dock on my desktop. It is not in the applications folder.

I finally ended up resetting the printer & followed the directions to add it back into my system. (I have macOS Ventura.) This took several attempts but printer now works fine & the System Settings Printers & Scanners window looks normal. But where the printer icon should be is now replaced by a question mark. How can I remove it & get the printer icon back on the dock without having to delete the printer & add it back (again!) which I have done many times already? To clarify, when I left click the white question mark, the name of my printer appears, so I know the connection is working. Thanks for any suggestions.

Restore dock icons In the process of trying to fix a problem with my printer, I somehow removed all the icons in my dock. I'm working on bringing them back on, but strange things are happening, such as "Console" appearing in the dock, etc.

Or when you start another Print Job, look in the Dock for the Printer icon, right click on it choose Option>Keep in Dock.
