apple watch dead after only 2 (ish) yrs; replace battery with mail in address?

What I find online is I have to take watch to apple store to get it sent off for battery replacement. COULD I SEND WATCH OFF DIRECTLY FOR BATTERY REPLACEMENT? I’m not about to spend an hour getting to and waiting at apple store and returning. PLEEZE - there’s gotta be a direct mail in method.

You can also avoid the wait at the Apple Store by scheduling an appointment.
