Troubleshooting iPhone iSight Camera:

A. Update your iPhone:

Just know that once you have installed the update, you cannot downgrade from there. Have a Computer Handy? If so, try using a computer to update. Go here: Update your iPhone Using a Computer - User Tip

If any updates are available, they will install sure enough.

B. Report this to Apple:

Do your part: Let Apple know what is going on here. Provide them with feedback on this. They may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they received on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed in updates to come.

1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
2. Comment: that it is after installing iOS15 when the issue began. Include the TUL of this thread.
3. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
4. Proceed from there aw necessary

Contact Apple, and setup a Genius Bar Appointment or see an AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) in your local area to get the iSight Camera checked. There it will be diagnosed, and you'll be provided with your options.

A. Contact Apple Us Info:

• Contact Us - Choose Locations
• Proceed from there as Necessary

B. Contact an AASP:

(Apple Authorized Service Provider):

1. Go Here: Find Locations - Apple Authorized Reseller
2. Click: Service & Support
3. Enter: your location information
4. See: if there is an AASP nearby
5. Contact: an AASP that shows up, and find out more about the services that they offer to fix the iPhone.

Troubleshooting a Black Camera App:

A. First, Go Here: If the Camera or Flash on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't Working - Apple Support

B. Uncover the Camera:

Is there anything covering the camera? If so, remove it.

C. Any Ungenuine Camera Message?:

Did you recently get the camera replaced? If so, contact the person(s) who performed the replacement, and have them place a genuine camera in there.See Here: About Genuine iPhone Cameras - Apple Support.  They should have known better.
