M2 MacBook Air wakes up with blank screen
Sometimes, not always, my M2 MacBook Air (Sonoma 14.0) wakes up with a blank screen. Nothing I can do brings it back to life, short of rebooting.
In these situations, sometimes (but not always) I can get the external display to work, while the laptop screen remains blank. I.e. the system is "thinking" normally, just not displaying on its own screen.
The system diagnostic only tells me that my external trackpad is broken, which I knew. These Apple-silicon machines have no SMC to "reset."
I see that others have had this problem, but several similar questions have received no response over several months.
Is rebooting 3x daily the new normal? Has MacOS officially become Windows?
More likely, there's a magic keystroke sequence - I'd appreciate your insight or further debugging suggestions.
