My Media Keys not work (F7 F8 F9) on Sonoma MacBook Pro 2023

After a Reboot the Fast Forward Play/Pause and Fast Backward button doesn't work. Only PP opens the Apple Music app.

Solution:

Disable Siri in Settings -> Siri & Spotlight -> Siri Ask

Check if the Media keys works then enable Siri if wanted.

Play/pause media button (F8) on MacBook Pro doesn't work I have a MacBook Pro 16" with M2 pro, 2023 edition. The play/pause key works right after booting up, but then within an hour of using the computer, it stops working. I mainly listen on Spotify, and I can skip songs and go back on songs, but the play/pause button simply does nothing. This is true whether or not Spotify is on-screen or off-screen at the moment. My bluetooth headphones that are connected can successfully pause Spotify. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

escape key " esc" and Siri not working due to issue with Siri.app As described in this topic 253332998 the "esc" key does not work, Siri neither, if the Siri.app process crashes in the background (noticeable because Siri cannot be started neither via shortcut nor via icon in menu bar or voice command). When you restart or log out, or kill Siri.app process, Siri relaunches (and works again), also the ESC key starts working again. I've been experiencing this on my macbook Air M1 and my macbook Pro 14" on both Monterey and Ventura OS. It is important to report the case to Apple Support . Many people have exposed this problem in this and other forums, but few have opened the case and worked on it with Apple. Pd.: You can also leave your Product Feedback - Apple although it will not help to find the problem.

I have Disabled Siri in Settings and F8 for play/pause still acts like it is going to work. But only gives like a split second of media. This is something I use all the time. Please find a fix.
