Powerbeats Pro Volume Controls Not Working

I have new Powerbeats Pro earbuds. I currently have them connected to my iPhone 14 Pro Max. I can control the volume on the phone but the volume controls on the earbuds, up or down, don’t do anything. It seems to me that I shouldn’t have to use my phone. What am I doing wrong?

Headphone Volume control turning up and down on its own Has anyone figured out this issue on iPhone 13 (15.6.1). I use wired earphones and sometimes the volume will turn all the way down or all the way up on its own. It only happens when the earphones are plugged into the device. Its very annoying because I use my phone for running. Does this happen with the wireless earphones as well?

I rest the buds from scratch and now the volume controls are working.
