Where is the setting to change the device type that has been connected to USB-C on iPhone 15 Pro? Accidentally selected headphones and need to change the type of device connected.

Had the same problem and did some digging.

  • go to settings
  • sounds and haptics
  • headphone safety
  • USB audio accessories

hope that helps!

I guess I have the same Problem. Connecting a guitar through USB C soundcard.

When pluggin in first time I got asked if the newly connected device (Soundcard) is a Headphone - and I accidentally said „yes“.

Now I cannot select iPad speakers anymore as soon as soundcard is plugged in. So I cannot hear Guitar through speakers.

Can this initial selection for the USB device be changed?

Similar problem. Connected charger to a USB-C hub, and also headphones to same hub. Accidentally answered “Headphones” when asked. Now my iPad thinks the hub is a set of headphones and I can’t charge with it.

i need this to be able to charge and listen to headphones at the same time…

Is there a way to make the iPad forget or change the type of device connected?
