Watch OS 10.1 destroyed a brand new series 9 that I just bought today!

so I purchased a series 9 today. Was working fine all day because it was running OS 10. Got home, watchOS 10.1 automatically downloaded. Now this brand new series 9 watch is garbage. Battery drains super fast, charging it overheats. It’s completely useless now. And I just barely bought this watch today!

You sometimes need to give the watch a day or two for a new operating system update to settle in and complete all the changes that are taking place. If after a day or 2 it doesn't settle down contact Apple Support for warranty replacement.
