Apple Watch Series 8 battery life with watchos10.1 is terrible
After the update to WatchOS10.1, my series 8 watch rapidly discharges its battery. And, it takes forever for it to recharge. I think there is a problem here.

If the battery drains too fast after an update, see all the replies to:

FWIW, in some cases, unpairing the watch, completely erasing it, then pairing and restoring the backup will resolve the battery draining issue after an update. (Simply unpairing and pairing again may not work.)

Also, some people have found that simply waiting a few days after an update resolves the battery draining problem.

Based on something posted in another forum, I turned off the weather widget and complication. That appears to have stopped the rapid battery discharge. I’ll turn them back on when I see an update that reads like it addresses that issue.
Thank you.
With the number of similar complaints I’m seeing elsewhere, I suspect an update addressing this will roll out soon. Until then I’ll leave it in low power mode.
