I have a I phone issued by my employer and I am retiring so bought a new Iphone. I don't want all of my work contact in my new phone. I want to transfer all of the apps, personel contacts and photo's. Do I transfer everything then go into the new personel phone and delete all of the work contacts?

See this to transfer the data to your new phone:
Transfer content from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Then, individually delete your work contacts. Note: you may want to keep some of them to stay in touch.

You could do that probably easier than manually reinstalling apps and adding contacts
You can do it from back up or when setting the new if the old is near you will have a option to transfer them

I will have the company phone until December. So I have time to transfer everything over then go in and delete what I don't need or want.
